Here's a cartoon we made for NPR's show, Planet Money. It's about Toxie, a personified toxic asset that helped burst the housing bubble. enjoy! Also, listen to the Nov 5th broadcast of This American Life to get the full story on Toxie!

  • I am secretly in love with Chana ... pretty lady, and SMART !!!

  • This video is great!

Although, it does sketch out the blame of toxic assets upon an ethereal identity; something uncontrollable and mainly foreign to the respectable economy that would have lived on…? Toxie looks more like a strong public relations figure for CLO’s, that only needed for people to live up to their commitments. But the video fails to hold a candle to Toxie’s maker: an illusion of capable borrowers produced by the lender.

  • What, no mention of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

  • But...but... but Toxie's not dead!... yet.

  • Perfect video to a perfect explanation from a perfect show...

  • Absolutely brilliant. I have never favorited a video this enthusiastically.

  • The animation was perfect!

  • I must say, that was brilliant.
