@match20045 "over 80% of paragliders are dead" - Could you please explain and/or back up this statistic? I won't deny pilots have some penchant for risk-taking, but then again every time I ease my car onto the highway I'm taking an enormous risk... :)

If I got a dollar for every dangerous parakiller collapse I saw on the you tube, I'd be able to buy myself a new hang glider.

@shess0501 Oh, totally agree - he did the right thing at the right time, no argument. Not worth the wait to see if it sorted itself out.

quick deployment of reserve...good job!

Good reaction of the pilot after noticing of been raiser twisted, braking is almost futile by having to think fast on which brake to pull and line friction gets them very hard. Reserve throw is a smart choice. If you haven't used a reserve before, do it. Get used to the reserve it will save your butt! (Daniel Villalta P4 ushpa)

If you look at 0:09, it looks like if he hadn't thrown the reserve the wing was back in good shape to fly.

@iftyshifty no!" it is not ! all that matters because this is clearly saying, it is about killing you in a collapse and see if you can manage to scape next time and next time until one time he or someone else doesn´t make it. I am horrified at the insane number of crashes, over 80% of paragliders are dead, I am beginning to suspect this is chosen on purpose by people who actually seek to have an accident

Remain CALM-COOL-and COLLECTED...
