    CW McCall is still alive today... I collect country music related memorabilia and I wrote to him last year and sent some stuff to be signed by him, and he returned everything signed and also sent me a CD he recently made to keep truckers awake...

    I just got a copy of this cd on ebay, lucky find, and it came from australia of all places. the liner notes are very interesting, the other songs are redos of the classics in digital, in the noted he comments aobut each song, and a story of the reunion with chip davis. he said he performed wolf creek pass on johnny carson s tonite show, I would love to see that.

    Alfred G. "Alferd" Packer (January 21, 1842 – April 23, 1907)[1] was an American prospector who was accused of cannibalism during the winter of 1873-1874. In 1968, students at the University of Colorado at Boulder named their new cafeteria grill the "Alferd G. Packer Memorial Grill" with the slogan "Have a friend for lunch!" Students can order an "El Canibal" beefburger as they examine a giant wall map outlining Packer's travels through Colorado.
