I picked up a Vestax VCI-300 last week and I just experienced the problem where the unit freezes when scratching with the right jog wheel. The song continued to play but every single control was inoperable after the freeze. The display on the laptop was choppy after freezing as well. I had to pull the USB cable to reset the unit (shown in the 2nd video). Sorry the videos are so dark. I had been using the unit for several hours prior to this and have used it quite a bit over the week. This was the first time I attempted scratching with it. So far I have been unable to duplicate the problem since it happened. The track is Feel My (Original Mix) by Tom Real vs Rogue Element in case anyone is wondering.

  • @DJLeopard316 - I got a replacement unit and never had the problem since.

  • I have the same problem!! It just locks up for no reason. how did you fix it?!

  • Just an update to the vid, I haven't had this problem happen since with my new unit. I'm very happy with the VCI so far. I have a NS7 on the way next week as well but still plan to use the VCI when I travel.

  • I'm running the 1.04 public release. That's all I've ever run on it.

  • You gotta download 1.04 public final release man! Come to the serato itch forums and grab it!

1.05 is now in beta, but only available to testers (like me). I hope you don't have the first units that have a problem with the right jog wheel, check your serial number and make sure you got a green dot next to your serial number.
