I think Paul Bettany should have gotten an Oscar nod for this movie. He was the best part, imo, and the chastising scene was pure gold!

Call me provincial, but he murders people. Including a nun. I understand he felt he was doing greater good, but thats the whole point. You are as evil as your actions, a bad life doesn't excuse that. You can not accomplish good by doing evil. You robbed a person of their life, and that is final. However, I totally agree that Paul Bethany is hot. Can't wait to see him in Legion.

For your information, I have a very good opinion about Silas. I even prepared a presentation for class that supports the fact that Silas is not evil. Silas had a bad life. It's understandable to see why he acted the way he did. I loved Silas even before seeing the movie.

Maybe you should point this out to pinkknt. She is the one that I quoted using the word monk with a u. I was just being sarcastic answering someone who just think the only thing important about Silas is that he is "hot". Silas happens to be my favourite character in the book and the movie and not just because he is hot. Maybe you should get your fact straight and attack the right person for mispelling and having a very narrow opinion about Silas...

You're right. Paul Bettany played Peter Colt in Wimbledon. But I have to say out of the two, Silas is my favourite hands down.
