@TrustYourOwnInstinct There is no such thing as a "head voice". Everyone's voice has at least three different registers that require different manipulation of the vocal chords. She was using her full voice. Sometimes people mistake the middle register--belting-- as the only full voice. If it was like a hillbilly calling "woohoo" that hillbilly must have been studying opera for ten years! I'm not trying to bash you in any way or sound like a know-it-all. I'm just stating what I've been taught.:)

@figureskate1000 Yes. But, it's a head voice. Not a full, connected voice.
Kind of like a hillbilly yelling "woohoo!"
Hitting that same note on full voice is a whole different matter.

For those arguing, Kristin was trained as a classical singer. She has, since then, crossed over into musical theater.

I love her persona! She's so funny. And I don't have to say I love Ellen, of course. No one can not love Ellen.
-
I love her, but she did not just say O Mio BAMBINO Caro.....oh boy.

Haha - easy for YOU, Kristin! She cracks me up. If you're thinking of breathing from your hooha, you're less likely to get all uptight and serious and breathing shallowly. That's great to remember.
"just take a deep breath and try to match that pitch *que Cheno Note*...Ellen looks at her like 'what drugs are you on tiny person?'...haha
