I just bought the surface and used an hdmi cable to the tv. I got the video but no sound through hdmi. Does anyone have the same issue? Any advices?

I didn't have this issue. Sound works fine. Did you try rebooting? Check your TV settings to make sure audio over HDMI is enabled? Is it going straight to the TV or through a receiver? It could be a lot of different possibilities.

How much is a micro hdmi cable? A micrososft store kiosk just plopped up on surface launch day at local mall. Planning on getting the surface today so where should I get cable and micro sd slot?

You can get micro hdmi for cheap on Amazon, for around 3 bucks or so. I'd get both at Amazon.

Im so glad i found your video. I wanted to use the snes8x app with the big TV but it ran slow when I ran it with double display. Then I saw your video and found I could turn off the tablet display and just play with my TV. Thanks for the tip! It runs great now!

Can you use a touch screen monitor with the suface? In other words, I want to make the surface my computer and control a program from the touch screen monitor while the surface is put to the side, unused.

if you mean connecting the surface on a laptop and use the laptop's display: no. if you mean connecting the laptop on a external screen: yes, but only if your laptop has a micro USB port

I just bought my hdmi cable, but when I try doing a duplicate display it says the screen resolution is to low, why is that and can that be fixed?
