Hip Hop On LOCK Winchester Thurston Creative Career Workshop

On January 14th, 2011, Hip-Hop On LOCK had the pleasure coming into the New Year with hosting the young hungry minds of Winchester Thurston for a creative career workshop that explored the many avenues of jobs that are possible in the hip hop industry.

Over the course of WT's nearly 125-year history, much has changed in education, in Pittsburgh, and in our school. Yet our essential qualities remain: talented teachers dedicated to their students' intellectual, ethical, and social development; innovative and challenging programs; and intelligent and articulate, confident and curious students and alumnae/i.

Hip-Hop On L.O.C.K. is an arts education and mentoring program that employs hip-hop as a tool to educate and empower youth K-12 through Leadership Development, Organizational Skills, Cooperative Economics and Knowledge of Music.
