As soon as you feel comfortable with an exercise, it's time to change. Your body and brain become very familiar, and very bored, very easily. To keep yourself motivated and your body progressing, it is essential that you continually adjust your workouts.

Try to incorporate a variety of exercises in each and every training session; additionally, if you are able, it is extremely helpful to completely change your entire routine every couple of weeks. As soon as you get used to it, change it. Physiological and psychological staleness is the beginning of the end of your dedication to a long-term fitness program. Use the spice of life and use it liberally.

  • i can benchpress 160 pounds for 2 reps on the machine and i can benchpress 550 pounds for 2 reps on the free weights

  • Honestly this guy is giving solid advice. Just because he doesnt lift the weight or show his muscle doesnt mean a dam thing. He is here to train not to be trained. Think about it.
