Michelle Rhee has completed her first year as DC Schools Chancellor and she's made sweeping changes throughout the system: she fired more than 15% of her office staff, removed 36 principals and 22 assistant principals, and announced plans to close 23 underenrolled schools, all before the last day of school.

She left to earn more money or just to do something else. She never gave a fuck about education. She wants to be a politician.

  • Michelle Rhee also quit, and "gave up on the children" after only three years.

I am also a teacher. Are teacher in Asia unionized? It shows that the countries with the highest test scores have the highest unionized teachers. Are most countries in Asia unionized?

    How?

  • 2:37 but dictatorship that works.

  • TEAHCERS UNIONS ARE RUINING AMERICA

  • @MsJanetWood . . . She has been a teacher. Test scores soared.

  • As a teacher originally from Asia, I find it difficult to teach in America. One of the reasons is because kids have been trained to be arguementative and political by their parents to not respect what teachers say in class. They want grades but don't want to do work and nobody cares about the truth. Everything is about proving someone else' wrong so that you can look better in class.

  • @FTWEVEREYONE Agreed! I've see many African American parents attack teachers, esp. white teachers when their children are loud, and totally disrespectful. Then, Rhee doesn't think parents are extremely important to their child's education. Yes, there are some bad teachers that need to leave, but again, respect needs to be given teachers

  • Dear Ms. Michelle Rhee,

I would like to inform you of a job opening at McGavock High School in Nashville Tennessee.

An Algebra teacher, Mr.Donald Wood recently was let go . . . Perhaps, this is your opportunity to prove that you are just not an arm-chair quarterback. I want to see you do it! 3 months! That is all!

Hey, if you think you're qualified to evaluate teachers, then, you should be able to teach, right?

    Sincerely yours,

    Ms. Janet Wood

(no relation to Mr. Donald Wood)
