Dusan Talevski (vocals) & Risto Todoroski in Sydney. sirulsko@gmail.com. Gaidas, tapans & kavals available.

It was great to hear these fine musicians playing 2 gaidi as if it were one instrument! Remarkably, they have never played 2 gaidi together before and they didn't practice beforehand - what you are seeing here is the first take. The secret is they used to be band mates, Risto playing clarinet and Dusan playing accordion for weddings :)

Dusan sang into the night, songs and rakija in equal amounts, and all the songs were recorded. A real treasure.

(Unsubtitled versions of Risto's videos are available for broadcasting - sirulsko@gmail.com)

  • @vasili33 Biljanik is vo poleto. The gajda is still the main instrument in those villages!

  • @gajda1984 i see there is a video response. that was the one I saw. Keep the awsome videos coming. your channel is great!

  • @gajda1984 Actually it was called " JA sum se napromenila". the gorani have their own language dialect, a mixture of serbian and macedonian. it is actually spoken in Kosovo and Metohija as well. The Balkans is a melting pot of cultures. i apologize if you think it was an offensive comment. thanks for keeping your videos clean of nationalism. i think it is the most destructive thing in the balkans.

  • @vasili33 I never knew what Gorani were since my family is from the pelagonia valley, that is why I called them by their religion. Yes, "jas sum se napromenila" was the title of the version I found. I forget the guys name though. I don't offend anyone as long as they don't offend me. the only ones I have had trouble with on youtube are greeks, bulgarians, and a few albanians and serbs.

  • UBAVO!! very nice Risto and Dusan....thanks for posting Vasili....Pozdravi - Linsey
