This is a video of my in-progress ping pong ball launcher. I will be mounting it to a mobile base to shoot the balls at a target 4 feet away and 18" off the deck. The motor is a DIY DC brushless motor kit from www.gobrushless.com The controller is a Phoenix-25. More on my blog at jaydmdigital.blogspot.com

  • WYSIWYG :) This is my MO: I build something just to see if I can. My latest project is a pickup gripper for the IEEE SouthEastCon 2007. I suppose I should post it too :)

  • This is just a mockup and a trial run to test the motor speed. The arm holding the motor is not screwed down thus it moves a bit when the ball pinches through. Also, notice in the last part where the ball hits the cat post on the edge instead of the top like the previous shots ... this is due to how I released it in the tube and the wheels catching it on the side instead of the middle.

  • Can you tell me what part of it you are interested in specifically, or would a general overview be better?

  • Where's the finished product?
