with the help of software such as final cut pro or After Effects, it is possible to turn 60i footage from a hdr-fx7 into a relatively close resemblance of 24p

this footage was shot on auto mode with a hdr-fx7

I will put up the original footage later for a comparison

  • it's actually 240 FPS. but, it's not 240 FRAMES per second, it's 240 FIELDS per second. that is 120 FRAMES per second.

  • @jord5280 How did you achieve this look on Final Cut?

  • what settings on after effects and final cut pro do you use...please tell, i have been after this affect for ages.

  • @ROYAL1ARCHIDIRECTO hd1000 1 cmos, fx7 3 cmos, fx7 is better, I have the both

  • That looks exactly like 16mm to me. A tad bit grainy maybe, but otherwise dead-on.

  • so what did you do in AE to get it to 24p? Interpret footage?

  • what was your shutter speed set too?

  • Oh fuck i want this cam ):

  • how do you turn fx7 60i footage into 24p using final cut pro?

  • 48 shutter speeds works best in 24f mode.. but again i have a Canon XH-A1S.

  • Dude, the default shutter speed is 60, it look totally normal. But if brought down to 30, its to choppy.
