I think what he meant is that he never heard the T-Rex album Slider, with Buick Mackane on there. I'm sure he's heard T-Rex songs like Get In On obviously, since he nicked the riff for Cigarettes and Alcohol obviously. And if he's any sort of self respecting musician, he will like the Can and Hawkwind albums.
