USAID supports AUAF as it expands its undergraduate program, increases enrollment, and implements a fundraising plan to increase its financial independence. AUAF offers English language undergraduate and continuing education programs in the U.S. liberal arts tradition. Degree programs are offered in liberal arts as well as market-driven fields such as business administration and information technology. AUAF's Foundation Studies Program, a pre-university experience, brings potential students to the levels of English and math required for admission to AUAF. Besides addressing critical skills shortages in Afghanistan's workforce, AUAF's Professional Development Institute courses in English, information technology, leadership, and project management generate income to contribute to managing the university's operations. AUAF has also launched the university's MBA program, making it the first Western-style MBA in Afghanistan. The university held its first graduation in May 2011 at which 32 students (8 female) received degree certificates in various disciplines.
I am moved by this video. Western values and education (in which women are afforded equal rights and opportunities as men) is the key to combatting extremism and terrorism. The Afghan people have suffered 40 years of nonstop conflict and oppression. Education is a step in the right direction - knowledge is power.

Great Job AUAF.......... AUAF investment in Afghanistan would not be rootless as the westerners have invested billions of dollars in war and almost nothing on afghan s' welfare and eduction. A better education can be a great start to democracy, Demos educated, Kratos function better.
