BCM55 - Dustbowl megabattle

Level 3 ('The Truth and Reconciliation') on Normal. This shows a dustbowl megabattle against 32 Grunts, using a choke point defence at the second bridge rock. But with the opposition being so weak, I'm really just having grunty fun rather than conducting a serious defence. Cool vid as usual, rock. I love CE. Not enough to play it as much as you do, but I do love it. I get into the story of the games, the better and better graphics, the new gameplay additions, forge and the sandbox... I just don't have the patience/time to mess around with combat evolved so much. Closest I've gotten recently is Anniversary and HOLY CRAP do I love that game. I'm an artist, so a major graphics upgrade was super welcome. Anyway, later.

Thanks. I had issues with Anniversary (detailed in my 'CEA campaign thoughts' article) and haven't played it a lot, but I do like its needler and the fact that you've got skulls you can use to alter how things play. I was going to explore the use of skulls in megabattles, but just haven't got around to that yet. Too much H1 goodness keeping me busy!

The set-up work is relatively painless on Easy though, which is what my set-up page recommends using to start off with. You'd still need a spot of *patience* however, which may or may not be another sticking point.

hmm...i could...but i am nowhere near your skill set. lol i have thought of doing stuff like what you've put up. if i had a good computer and if youtube didn't hate me so much, i'd probably put up lots of stuff, too. Now that i think of it, I just remembered that I created a stash of Plasma Pistols and Rifles just before the stairway on the first level...on legendary. That's also the only level other than he Silent Cart. i can do on legendary haha

Yeah, I liked the "very quiet now" too. H1 Grunts are the best at sneaking. As for your query, I killed off the Elites and Jackals along the way. All the set-up details are on my site if you fancy trying things for yourself.

That bit of comedy was one of the reasons I chose this play from among several candidates. Most plays had friendly fire incidents along the way, but that was the best.
