Wouldn't a good Survival Measure be carrying a gun?

The important thing to remember is to train. Physically and in your mind.  Run scenarios through your head. What you would or wouldn't do. Be prepared. Most people will NOT react like these classroom students because they know that the threat isn't real. In a real situation, your tendancy is to curl up into the fetal postion out of shock and fear. You have to train your mind to be prepared at all times.

You can see that the students are all paying attention. There is no one writing notes, or checking mobiles, or chatting with a neighbor. This is a very important lesson and they all know it instinctively.

Can't Always carry a gun. In most states, one cannot carry a gun on Campus. So when Guns cannot be carried, Unarmed tactics need to be employed

yea but in places like where i live were concealed weapons permits are literally impossible to get this is the best we can do

I agree with you, but not everyone has that option. It is still good to train for times when the approriate tool is not available.
