@cmcin theynormally transport transformators for the south african electricity companies. they have a weight between 250 and 400tons. the law says, that 20% of the loadweight must be on the traction axles. thats the reason why theyre are all wheel drived and 4 of those huge trucks for this"little" weight (in grmnay can one truck handle 250tons. the latest and strongest(the volvo fh 750 even 300ton)

900,000lb. Transformer was the load. The trailer has 300+ wheels and the whole rig (trucks inc. ) had 80 sets of brakes.

anyone else notice the last truck says ABNORMAL on the front? not bashin the trucks just thought it was odd that a load this huge and the truck says abnormal...

They are all nicolas tractomas 10x10 D100's built specfically for Rotran. 912 hp each. Rotran also have "smaller" 8x8 D75s with 750 hp and some newer ones with 950hp. Theres a vid by roadtransport with the new D75 in it some where..type in tractomas in search.
