love the attention to detail, I was buying a 72 myself and this will be my very first restoration. any pointers? what is the stuff you put on the floor 2:07? yellow stuff. I know my way around the shop but could use some advise from a pro, thanks a bunch for putting this vid up, appreciate the way you show the rusted area, removal, replacement, and weld , very informative, not everyone goes that extra step on any of the other videos, Thank u

wow I wish I could do that, but I would not know where to begin

I had one just like this as my first car, my dad and I restored it. But about two months ago I was going down a one way road the correct way when some jackass in a Ford mustang was speeding down it the wrong way. No one got hurt but I almost killed that bastard because he didn't care enough to get of his Cellphone. I now drive a 2004 VW Jetta...but I have a VW bus hot-wheel and a snapshot of me in the bus, sort of like a shrine.

this is great. i'm doing a 74 right now, but it's getting the custom treatment. not doing anything to the body though. just the interior.
i want to restore a bus back to original sometime. great job broski.

How did you restore the dashboard?

This is one of the great things about older buses. The entire dash is sculpted out of metal, so there are no dash pads to buy. The dashboard alone is a work of art. Just sand it down, fix any blemishes the same way you would on the exterior of the bus, and paint it.
