December 16, 2009: At 5:00pm today, during the opening of the high level segment of this years international climate change negotiations, a group of approximately 30 international youth staged a sit-in, refusing to leave the talks until a fair, ambitious, and legally binding treaty was reached. The group included young people from both developed and developing nations.

I'll try inputting summer dates and see what that gets me. One important point: Even the UN has now admitted that there has been no warming in 15 years. Check solar activity cycles for more on this. Evidence is now in that it's been getting colder for 9 years. Polar bear populations have more than doubled.
I'm not so sure there's a "crisis" which warrants handing over all control of life emissions, (nothing on this planet can live without C02) to a few unelected elite bankers.

I'd like to check it with my own eyes to be sure. Are U at one of the poles? Can you send me some pictures about what you're talking about?
During my last visit to the University of Illinois Cryosphere Dept. (they've been compiling daily raw data on the poles for 30 years) I found this:
That on Nov. 20th, 1980, the planetary ice coverage (thickness & coverage) was the same as Nov 20th, 2009. I had to input what I wanted to compare, & then work the numbers out, but that's how it worked out.

@joygarner Wow - but check out mid summer ice extent - that is scary. There is hardly anything now.

@polarbears111222 Just tried googling it (as much as that can tell you) NASA etc seem to be saying the opposite to you - Ice is shrinking and thinning over last 30 years. Up for skepticism and reevaluating, but not being paralyzed by it. People saying to politicians "Work for us, not our GDP" is a good thing.

@TheMary2604, I too saw Gore's movie and I cried, b/c I believed he was sincere.
there is an authority on this. University of Illinois has been collecting global sea ice date daily for 30 years. I went to their website & input the exact day of the year in 2009' & compared it with the images from 1980.
total ice coverage & density/thickness is the same. I've also checked the global temps at various weather bureaus. It's been getting colder for 9 years.

I am not denying that global warming exists. I am not denying that it is mad caused. I just find it scary that so many are ready to enslave themselves on plans that would greatly reduce our freedoms and heavily burden third world countries when the science is not settled. Skepticism is a good thing and until someone can prove otherwise, we should continue to find the hard science.

actually, you should be the one googling that... and you can see that arctic ice is actually increasing in many areas, making the net change right around 0... as is natural. Oh, and how much did the Earth warm in the last 10 years? did the models predict that? No.

Right, so then by that logic the theories of relativity and special relativity arn't real science. Maybe next time instead of wasting time thinking of how best to take an Einstein quote out of context to try arguing about something you know nothing spend a few minutes and google a map of the arctic ice covers decline over the last 50 years.
