  • Kudos to the guy who swam out to save this most beautiful species of fish, the roostefish. I commend you! Not many would have done that. You sir, are a TRUE sportsman!!

  • Thanks, we always do whatever we can to release these fish healthy. It was very gratifying to see it swim away.

  • sweet i have been rooster fishing there

  • Jim Sammons is so great with all he does for the Kayak fishing industry. To see him jump in with the fish to save it was great.

  • what you do is grab the fish and put it up right position (how they swim) and stroke or pull the fish back in forth so the fresh water goes through the gills

  • turn your kayak sideways during the fish, you won't get towed out too far and you wear the fish out faster.

  • Im with MOPooks....

a great fish but DAMN is that guy stupid or what, he has no idea how to handle a fish, use a kayak or release a fish.....

Good on you man for making sure that fish whent on its way OK. Gee guys take me out, all youll have to do is use the camera i promise :P

  • AWESOME MAN JUST AWESOME!!!

  • Hey man you can't let your clients who don't know any better tire fish out so bad like that. That fish was way past the point of exhuastion after the guy tried to land it so many times and then finally dragged it from its side into the yak. Any fish that floats back up is in bad shape, regardless of the effort that came too late. Just my .02 cents, sad not to see a quick clean release on such a beauty.

  • Good job reviving guys. Way to stay with it. People need to know how to preserve these beatiful fish. Cheers!
