@ADRIAN01225 I agree about the Mercs, I too have friend in the Warranty Passenger Cars dept of Merc UK, and you'd be surprised at the failures - including the S-Class which threw its gearbox within a mile of being driven from the dealers!
However, good as the Mondeo is, it still struggles against such cars as the Skoda Superb or VW Passat etc. Netter than the Insignificant (Insignia) tho.

A simple Ford is an okay car. A complex Ford that has outsourced Motorcraft parts to OEM and other "world" manufacturers has more to go wrong.

Mondeo is a very pretty car. But I've noticed pretty much all Euro sedans are beautifiul nowadays. 159 (OMG!), Insignia, C5, A4, S40, 3-series (controversial?), C class, Laguna (not my cup of tea) heck even something mundane like the new Accord and Passat aren't bad looking. It's hard to go wrong when the ugliest sedans are the 407 and the Japanese appliances.
