  • @machokingwwf Its not a team sport... Vonn does twice the Training of any other girl she deserves it..

  • @IMT00FIERCE Vonn is the most successful at the sport, She won 5 Downhills in a row, that is unheard of.. (Success is measured by victory right?) If you ski you would totally understand what happened. Its a shit ton harder to race a downhill course and win a gold then it is to run 100 meters.. Skiing is a sport that has so many variables.. It's a lot harder to win an Olympic Gold Skiing then it is to win a Basketball game..

  • Skiing is a different sport. You have to be inside of it to understand it. If you aren't a ski racer the get out of the comments. Skiing is one of those sports where anyone can come out and perform at any given day. The sport is 100% Mental, while at the same time 100% Physical. In skiing it is so hard to be the Best in Everything the differences in a speed even and a tech event racer is night and day. Ligety failed at these olympics but he won the Globe for Gs..

  • @ChosenTheOnexxx You don't race do you...

  • ChosenTheOnexxx is perfectly right. And "Winning means often crashing" is a paradox--you can't have both. I guess for Lindsey that means winning gold 1 time and crashing--3 times! The simple math tells me that she fails far more often than she wins. That's like getting 95% in one class and failing every other class--wow very good student... (if you're smart enough to note the analogy).

  • She fell 3/5 races! It makes one wonder whether her winning of "gold" is just out of pure luck... She's very inconsistent with her performances. Anyways bye-bye Vonn, Maria Reisch of Germany got crowned "ski queen" for winning two golds and not stumbling like you did (3 times!). Congratulations on your other (bronze) medal though lol.

  • It is very normal, that Lindsey Vonn gets all the attention. In the world cup and world championship, she won downhill, super g and super combined. She had a chance to win also in slalom. So she could have won 4 gold medals , but it is the olympic games , where often it's not the champion who wins ...

  • @borealfadd She's no a bad skier. It's just the Danica Patrick effect. She's pretty and marketable, which gives her way more coverage than her skiing deserves. I barely heard Anja parson's name on NBC. Anja, at only 3 years older than Vonn, has three times as many medals for world championships and the olympics. Vonn isn't even close to her, or Janica Kostelić's output.

  • vonn gets all the attention completely overshadowing her teammate mancuso

all i heard about at these olympics was lindsey vonn

how she won the gold in downhill how she fucked up in super combined how she fucked up in giant slalom and broke her fucking pinky

i bet her dissapointment from crashing in giant slalom turned to a sense of relief when her team mate julia mancuso was flagged, taking her out of the mix for a gold medal and not jepordizing vonn's total control of the spot light

  • @ChosenTheOnexxx

u have to go all out to win gold, which means crashing often
