A small micro crawler I built from a couple of old Zip Zaps and a chopped Tonka truck body.

  • I then glued steering unit with CA glue right to the chassis so the the red gear meshed with the blue one. Stop the video at the very beginning and you'll see that it's just glued to the back or the chassis in the right place.

  • To get the gear reduction, I removed the steering unit from a Zip Zaps car that had proportional steering and then slid a red gear from a Zip Zaps car over the output shaft on the steering unit.

  • The chassis is a Zip Zaps car cut behind the circuit board and then connected with a Radline turnbuckle so the two part will swivvle like you F-150!
