This is a short video of my prototype intermittent misting propagation table, based on the "electronic leaf" moisture sensing concept. The design was driven by what I had on hand: the only item I had to purchase was the stainless steel sink strainer I used for the mesh. I have since found a finer mesh as a tea ball, which will make two "leaves" from the mesh on each half of the ball. If there's a lot of interest in this I'll put up other videos to show how I cobbled this together.
I like the way the switch works, it is very ingenious and reliable.

I love the switch you designed. Did you say you use an OP AMP?

Anyway to get a set of plans and parts list so I can build one like yours? email me - mail (at) mikealrhughes (dot) com

I noticed that it started before it hit the box with the magnetic switch. How sensitive is that switch? Are you just using the house water or have you got a recycling pump?
Is this leaf sensor one of your ideas or do they make actual commercial ones?
It may be ruff but it is works

So impressive!! I assume your getting benefits out of this set up, or is it just so you don't have to monitor it all the time?
