    Thank you!

  • Ballet has its own ethic, it is its own world, and whether it please people from the outside or not, it is a beautiful, elegant sphere... even though it can be a little bit aggressive and arrogant at times. If you are looking in from the outside, it is difficult to understand, but PLEASE do NOT criticize something you do not know.

  • @DancerWithTheBadKnee I disagree, I feel we (ballet dancers) should not say or intend that our art form is this sphere. It shouldn't be this arrogant world where people outside of ballet wouldn't understand. I don't know if you EVER danced in your life or your probably just a admirer of ballet but real artist are as normal as anyone else in the outside world. Ballet doesn't save lives, doesn't end wars, doesn't cure diseases... get over it!

  • I love great Ballet Dancers. Darcey Bussell and many dancers have devoted to the greatest beautiful art to us.

  • @tedsler manners, respect, and hireachy. something not understood in this time.

  • did you see lopatkina and volochkova

  • She didn't say there was anything wrong with it, she was just pointing out the differences. It's very normal to be respectful of the 'masters' in any walk of life.

  • She's got a bit of a whiner complex, no?

  • I am sorry, was that reply aimed at me?

I trained at Royal Swedish Ballet school and I have danced for 10 years, 3 of that as a classical dancer and I have never EVER been told off or felt I should not ask a principal dancer a question.I have even managed to kick a principal dancer on the leg in class and I was mortified, her response was "If you are in my way, I will kick you back" and smiled. PLEASE do NOT criticize me about something YOU don't know.

  • And what is so strange with people asking a principal dancer a question? i can understand the thing about ho stands where etc but talking to another human being, is that something you have to wait until they say it is ok? They are principal dancers, not kings or queens...or? Maybe the tutus have gone to their heads...
