I didn't know Matt, but for those of you who were close, I'm sorry for your loss. From what I have heard he was a great man and obviously a great musician/singer. I heard this song and loved it, so I had to learn how to play it. As a fellow musician I have the upmost respect for Matt and am not trying to take anything away from anybody. I hope you enjoy my cover!

@Krammes1978 We all know what is was written for Jeremy. Those of us that knew and loved him.... I honestly feel like this was Matt's one song that should stay Matt's... I mean NO disrespect to anyone.... Honestly, I do not..... BUT we all know why and who he wrote it for.... Seems weird that others want to cover it... It is beautiful but to those of us that were like family.... Just seems as if it should remain Matt's...

I was Matts girlfriend. We knew each other since Jr. High but met again 11 years later when we started dating. On that day, the day we found each other again he played this song and I recorded it. A month later I posted it because it is beautiful. He was pissed at me lol. Well that anger went away when it got so much recognition. This song meant alot to him. It's really cool you decided to cover it:) it's awesome to see how many people this song touched. good job!

This kid singing Matt's song is a true testament to how many people he touched with his music. I couldn't think of anything Matt would rather want than to have one of his fans on youtube playing his song and keeping his voice alive. As long as people are singing his songs he'll never die. Good job Chad.
