Wide slabs can be extremely valuable - up to five times the value of an equivalent amount of sawn dimensional timber.

Cutting up to 40 slabs per hour this Dedicated Wide Slabber is a purpose-built slabbing unit, which is built to fit in a Peterson ASM or WPF frame. It is designed with a faster chain speed than other slabbers to get a quicker better quality finish.

The DWS can be upgraded to an automated slabbing machine when fit in the ASM track set-up. All you will need to do, is use the control panel and drive lever to make your adjustments and cut, then remove the slab once the powerful bar has ripped through your log. Upgrading to automation with the DWS is the most efficient way of getting accurate valuable slabs with minimal effort.

  • It didnt sound like a chainsaw? Is it?

    Is this a homemade mill?

    Thanks

  • It's not a chainsaw it's the same motor as our swingblade mills. We use a GD Tittanium R-Series bar. We manufacture thses mills in NZ and sell direct all over the world.

  • OK. Looks like a neat mill. How are the logs secured?

    Thanks!

  • It's secured from on skids and recommend using EZ Dogs

  • @drail80s magic

  • One of my friends chops down dangerous trees around Sydney. His work mate made a thing like that using a chainsaw and train rail as a guide. They have loads of rare timber to make things
