You could add a second button, and when pressed releases sets of pistons, pouring lava onto the pressure plate, burning the item. Fun fact: Pressure plates aren't burnt by lava. Fun fact #2: Pistons can delete lava when extended. (:

you have single player commands, and the default difficulty settings. THERE IS NO NEED TO SLEEP OR KILL MOBS WITH YOUR SWORD. just type time day and killnpc to start a new day and kill mobs. painful to watch

in 1.0, fences don't take up a whole block, and they can have pressure plates on top of them. Therefore, if you make the dispenser shoot into a fence, it will fall halfway through, and if there's another fence underneath that, with a pressure plate on it, the item will activate the pressure plate, then fall through, resetting it.

I have a version to clear them by just tapping a button! I will probably post a video showing it and put it as a video response tomorrow or at wednsday. And I will probably make a tutorial on friday or so! :D

this is only random until there are no more of either cobblestone or arrows in any of the dispensers, because then that would be fixed to either a 1, or a 0
