You say it's a waste of money but I prefer us spending our money on this than maintaining a huge military. Our nukes protect us so we don't need to be like the USA in that respect. This machine may well find nothing but it may well find God. To not want to try goes against human nature.

Dam I love technology this kind of stuff inspires us journalist to write science fiction books like Cern supplying the world with internet hydro and the beam accelerator that protects the earth from astroids okay I'm done time to write a sci fi story or comic

well , we're on youtube , the place where the dumb meets the stupid with a smart few on the side , so i wouldn't be so amazed if they broadcasted the launch of the LHC here and only got 10 views

Is it stupid to want to understand? Is it stupid to try to further advance the human race? Is it stupid to have tried something even if you fail?
