@deancook07 I'd sign that! The 80s was just chock-full of great bands. even ones that just put out one local single and disappeared forever. What Itunes needs to do is buckle down and aim to get ALL music on the site. I mean, there's not even any Icehouse on there and they were like HUGE. Won a bestseller award and all. I'm hoping it'll happen before 2020.

@22ndWave .My gut feelings of 2 years ago are correct, take alook as to how many 80,s bands are makeing a return, granted some of them are a bit ropey but they are selling.SO again if the powers that be took agamble and released a c.d full of forgotten80,s artist,s and thier music i,m sure it would sell.Come on everyone lets start something, anyone know how to start a petitoin and get this on the go.

@deancooky Totally agree and blue zoo weren't even that obscure, they had a top ten hit with 'Cry Boy Cry'! But the companies are fickle, moneygrabbing bastards. The main reason many of these bands never made the really big time like AFOS and DD.

the ballet dancer on here at 4 minutes and 50 seconds in in Bruno Tonioli (or whatever) from TV's Strictly Come Dancing! Not a lot of people know that!

I know you posted this a month ago QWEROTI, so I hope you're still checking for a reply! The last song is called "Embers" Never released in record/disc form, but it was recorded and mastered ready for release. Polydor just bottled it I guess. Ah well here it is. 'Tis quaint innit? But I love the sentiment. Who takes notice of the romantic drunk? Hope this helps.

What a fine Idea. Yeah, the Eighties had some great tunes and atmospheres...I still remember where I was etc. when I heard The Lotus Eaters "First Picture of You" and The Blue Nile's "Walk Across The Rooftops" album! Wouldn't it be great to have this stuff on CD?
yes I guess it was, typical of the time I guess, very cool
cheers
