  • @bugeyedmonster2 Yep, I buy on eBay, but you're right, if it goes over my limit, I stop. No auction fever here!

I use several different water containers. For casual journal sketching, most often it's a little spray bottle I found in the travel department of my discount store. I was lucky enough to find one just enough bigger that I could cut the bottom off for a cup. I also use an old 35mm film can, an plastic jar herbs came in, a leakproof small plastic freezer container!

  • @KateJosTube I found one pretty cheaply on eBay. The thing with ebay is that you have to set yourself a limit, and if the bidding goes over your limit, let the item go. Forget it exists! And then just prowl ebay looking for another.

  • Cool video, thanks for posting.

One question, how do you carry water? Do you have a small separate water container in your purse?

When I took a bus often, I found obtaining water to do watercolor sketches a problem. And not every screw top bottle holds water well. (I've had a few tops that have popped off. Not fun.)

Anyway, thanks for posting this. I have the Neocolor tin and I never would have thought of using it in this fashion.

  • @bsonenthal1 Yep, we still need to USE them, don't we! :-) I love the old WInsor & Newton sets, too...not everyone can find or afford them, it appears.

  • Kate thank you for sharing this. you seem to find more and more ways of making your painting portable... the only issue i see is that no matter how portable the paint set....the act of painting requires time and space..winsor newton produced a set that resembles a pocket "flip" phone with eight half pans also very portable not to exclude the "field" set also designed for the portable artist thank you again...
