A walk along the path in Brecksville Ohio, ( along the towpath once used along the Ohio Canal) to see the bald eagle nest and the pair of eagles. For my friend Strangeattractor291 and my brothers, who share my happiness at being able to see these amazing birds in the wild.

  • Great video. From looking at Google maps I think I have a general idea of where you were. Do you know what time of the year they are found there? I'd love to get some photos.

  • @all4golf Hi there, the eagles return in the second week of March, usually by then they are starting to be seen and building on the nest. They are seen by the nest from early March until the second week of August, after that usually the young have fledged their feathers and left the nest. If you Google Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Pinery Narrows- you should get a phone number and website somewhere in there, that you can call for eagle info before you get there. Good luck!

  • Great footage - another 5 stars for patience and perseverance!!!

  • @suzyqplacet Thank you Suzy - be sure you see the video of the young eagles, two are in the nest as of right now, from this pair!

  • Whoa!! It was built in 1881!!?? The snow is sooo beautiful! How far is the canal?

  • @SmokeyClaws This part of the Cuyahoga Valley has a 20 mile section of the canal, with water still in it- it is right on the other side of the bridge, the little waterfall I show in this video is emptying into what used to be an Ohio canal.

  • I am glad that you enjoyed this- actually I have more footage to post, I also have the eagel flying up to the nest and sitting there for quite a while with the mate- I was surprised at that myself, but I will be posting that soon. If they have eaglets I want to try to get shots of the young one, but i really don't have the lens for that- you should see the huge telephoto lens I have seen folks with this week, you can imagine!

  • I like that you shared your walk with us and some of the interesting sights there were to see. The eagles are so grand. It was great to see the one leaving the nest. I watched that part over and over. They are amazing.

  • They certainly are, Tuks , and there are a lot of interesting animals there in the park to capture on video.

  • Your "little camera" did the perfect job here.I saw what type of camera you use:and it's terific that you can get such good shots without getting too near:and disturbing them.

    They are beautiful birds.
