  • This is just an opinion so dont criticise me and dont give me rubbish because its just an opinion,I think personally that this skid isnt what it should be,wrong paint job, paybox in the wrong place, cars dont look right and its going the wrong way,As I said,Just an opinion. -Ryan

  • skids r boreing,waltzers rule

  • like a waltzer without hills hehe

  • Hi peter here, I see with this machine it goes round the other way, and the pay box is not in the center but on the outside, so no one has to go in the center it looks empty and bare, its off limits, not the same as the skids i love and know.

  • r e edwards skid at dingles in devon still builds up from bobbin it has centre drum flights from paybox to uprights ,

    manning skid at folly farm

  • tommy benson's is still in storage,

    rose's skid is in storage,

the atomic thriller is cut up,

    j crick's rollerball in storage,

  • there are 4 to 8 skid's swirls left

russel cookes ex charles thurston and theodore whyatt's one, jimmy bowry lighting swirl, the ex tom smith's one that travels with caters, harry parrish's one is nearly refurbed, stanley thurston's number one skid

  • slow ride

  • i think ther are only about 3 of these left

  • i wish there were more of these still travelling! they are much more exiting than the waltzers and are much more enjoyable to ride coz they dont make u feel sick like the waltzers do! the skid was once the fastest ride at any fair ive seen one of these being run at way over 80mph! the cars leave the floor at that speed and the ride is just a blurr! you have to be a skilled rider to press the pedal at just the right moment to get the cars to hit the cable and flick properly!
