The Hallmark film Santa & Pete pretty executed this character tastefully. Why can't other mediums do the same example?

Mimicking another race is just mockery and I'm surprised this example of poor taste is still happening. I like the Zwart Pete character as a companion to St Nick, but I think all portrayal should be more authentic and tasteful (see Santa & Pete).

Black Pete a long tradition of rascism. Whites civilised & masters. Blacks wild & slave. St Nicholas is portrayed as everything Black Pete is not. The St old white, wise, and articulated. Pete young, black, simple, cheeky (classically followed by a reprimand from the St) boy Played by a white woman or man with black painted faces large gold earrings curly wig and red lipstick. A change in voice & behaviour follow. They speak bad Dutch with a Surinamese accent a racial stereotype is reinforced.

Zwarte Piet israscist. And, this is offensive whether its comedy or not.
