Yeah the correct MODERN term is Purebred Arabian Horse, but you seem to be completely blind to what I've said, about 'thoroughbred' being an old term. 'Thoroughbred' actually from 'thoroughly bred' which means 'purebred'. She's obviously not a horse person and just needed an update on her vocab although it's not technically wrong.
thoroughbred is an old term refering to any purebred breed... If you read the original version of the Black Stallion, Walter Farley refers to the arabian breed as "Arabian thoroughbreds"...
thoroughbred (small "t") is a word that means the horses are purebred, not to be confused with Thoroughbred (big "t") which refers to the specific breed. Since these horses are purebred Arabians, they ARE thoroughbreds.
