As a child I loved the Funk Soul vibe of James Brown. His style was so energetic.
As a teenager I become consumed by Hip Hop & lived the ways of the street. Practicing my graffiti, B-Boy skills & importing all the fresh music coming out of the Bronx with my hard earned cash as a paperboy. How cool that JB embraced the Hip Hop vibe. The beats from his band became the most sampled breaks ever. Throw in the intense creativity from New Yorks suppressed streets & you have a recipe for pure MAGIC! :)

Hell, man, this remix is better than anything on the record itself--NICE ONE!!!! Or am I just biased in favor of that synth tone? Could be :-)
