A full orchestra interpretation of the greatest video game score of all-time.

Aitos - after a subdued opening, erupts briefly into a virile march, then descends into mysterious, subterranean passages.

The Great Tree - rousing action music at its finest. A swashbuckling, brass-heavy motif drawing liberally on John Williams' Death Star attack music from Star Wars.

Composed by Yuzo Koshiro
Conducted by Kaoru Wada
Performed by the Shinsei Nihon Symphony

  • where can i get that CD?

  • Maybe Ebay. But be prepared to pay close to $100 or more.

  • The Great Tree music always reminded me of Star Wars... I'd almost kill for a new sequel to this game.

  • There was a sequel... if you wish to call it that.

  • ActRaiser2 is hard. VERY hard. But I don't like this sequel. I'd like to build a city, help people and improve my lvl just like in ActRaiser1. In my opinion ActRaiser1 is much more better then the second one.

  • @kattmataren Fair play. I enjoyed them both. Agree to disagree about the controls though. :-p

One area where they are comparable - the music from both games is amazing.

  • Actraiser 2 is a much better platformer than 1, but it's like a 2d DMC-game. Before you master the controls you just feel sort of helpless in the face of the enemy hordes. Once you master them it turns from a frustrating clusterfuck to one of the best platformers ever :)

I don't think there's a point comparing the two games either since the gameplay is so widely different. Actraiser 1 was great too, but for different reasons.

  • @AgentDC76 agreed. It was a different game. But I did feel very satisfied when I beat it. Unfortunately not as much getting there(hard is an understatement!) But damn immersive environments too. The kings mind, the battlefield, and the drowned city were all great stages.

  • @AgentDC76 he took 4evr to walk but yea ur right the graphics n music were good but the main character is just a disgrace to the original tho

  • @MrSteve2033 AR2 had its strong points (the music and graphics were quite good, I thought), just that the problems (most notably the clunky play control, excessive numbers of enemies even on easy mode, and lack of a sim element) far outweighed these.

  • @Skull10 im talking about act raiser 2

  • @Skull10 it was the gayest shit to and it was a disgrace to actraiser

  • The Great Tree theme gives me goosebumps. It's like Star Wars mixed with certain parts of Mars, Bringer of War.

  • I cannot explain how much fascination I have for the "Aitos" composition. "The Great Tree" is so out of this world. Whenever I hear Yuzo Koshiro's music for Actraiser, I think of it as a film that might have been. Truly an epic which I'll never forget. Thanks for uploading Skull10.

  • i found the mp3s in torrent, thanks!
