@NathanZK Considering that this was made what about 4 years ago yes I DID use to ink using path. Sometimes I STILL ink using paths. Now I have a Cintiq and I ink just by hand. If it's a joke to you perhaps you shouldn't comment unless you have something useful to say for other passerby that wish to learn to ink using the pen tool and paths if they don't have a tablet to ink with.

Thank you so much ❤ I've just been drawing with the brush tool over my lines and they've never turned out right - hopefully now I'll be able to make my entrance onto the art scene properly!

FINALLY a tutorial that actually tells you how to do it

@1:39 ur pen tool is on paths but u said "make sure its not on paths".....

Please help, when I used the pen tool, the second time I locate the dots in the third time it just went like a hill. I do not know how to explain it but lets just say that it doesn't turn out like the line I've planned in the third time I locate the dot. Please help. :(

hey when i ink it gave me very pixely lines so when i color mine it still had small dots that weren't colored help!!!

@ZyberAndroid if your inking comes out pixelated your DPI is too low. Go to your IMAGE menu -> IMAGE SIZE -> and at the RESOLUTION box change it to 150, 200, 300, or 600 DPI
The higher the Resolution (DPI) the finer the pixels.

I don't understand how yours came out so smooth and the lines weren't much of a hassle... my lines are being really awkward to the point it's stressing me out, once I finally managed to get a path done, which was looking very messy, when I filled it it was all scratchy and not smooth, whats going on? Is my photoshop 'broken' or something?

@Mormoka Set your DPI at 300dpi or higher to get smooth lines. The lower your DPI the more jagged your lines will be.
