A couple of things make this montage of clips filmed during and several days after Memorial Day Weekend 2004 really stand out: the fishing pier at Navarre that was condemned in the wake of Hurricane Ivan a few months later, and Sharkheads in Biloxi that was among many structures devastated by Hurricane Katrina the following year. Other vantage points include Panama City Beach, FL; Pensacola, FL; and Gulf Shores, AL. This was the same trip that spawned "Remembering Sharkheads" and "Navarre Surfer Dudes" in my playlist. Cheers!
Just got back from Gulf shores June 3rd. caught several spanish mackeral on straw rig. if ya' dont know what that is, then just use a small spoon with a three ounce slip egg sinker . There were lots of whiting along the beach in about two foot water. Lots of mullet and baitfish too. Ladyfish and hardtails averywhere. new pier maybe open by the time July rolls around. if so catch live bait and go for kingfish or bonito's. Good luck!
