My grandmother just had this same surgery due to poor circulation (not diabetes) that caused a sore on her toe to become gangrene infected. This answered a lot of questions I had and de-mystified the procedure for me. Thank you!
@mayval09 i'm not from England/America but by far i could hear: he had a 500lbs crush on his left food, and after a few surgerys he went disabled at his left foot. so he requested an amputation.. hope it makes sense to you.
