Thorens turntables are wonderful and yours is/was a gem! They invented and perfected the floating table. Whatever some may think of the various components I have always used all Thorens parts. I've tried other heads (they came with it) and have always returned to the Thorens head. Styli choices vary and I've Pickering, Shure and others. I prefer voice coil but have also used moving magnets. I've had five of them over the years and now have a TD165 and a TD145. Both function flawlessly.

Actually, I got the turntable for free and have since sold it to a collector who could appreciate it more than I could.
