  • @usgp1 Surefire flashlights are significantly better than a Maglite, but you're right, they are expensive. If you want a high quality flashlight for around the same price as a Maglite then take a look at Nitecore, Fenix, or Quark. For example, I have a Quark MiNi AA that's the same size as my index finger, uses a single AA battery, and puts out as much light as my 3D Maglite with a Mag LED drop-in, all for less than $40. Oh, and it has multiple levels of output. Check it out.
