Sega Ages on Saturn has a mode called "Smooth mode". Maybe I'll post a video of it unless someone has beaten me to it already.

This was a fact a couple of years ago, meanwhile people have claimed the arcade version to run at 60 FPS as well.

OutRun for Dreamcast is available in Shenmue II and Yu Suzuki Game Works Volume 1, there is no seperate OutRun on Dreamcast like there is for Saturn in Japan.
The Saturn version of OutRun is the only version of the original sprite-based OutRun to allow you to play at 60FPS.
ALL OTHER PORTS of arcade OutRun
(on Dreamcast & Xbox) are 30FPS, including the original 1986 arcade game.

Your DC sounds rather unhealthy in the background there. Guess it's to do with the way the original scene release was built. If you look on Snesorama you'll find a newer scene release that should cause less strain on the unit's laser.

Was there a standalone Outrun for Dreamcast? IIRC there is one embedded in the Shenmue II Arcade... or was it only on Xbox?
