Colin Mcrae Rally (Playstation 1) UFO abduction secret (Corsica - Special Stage)

Kinda surprised no ones uploaded a video of this little gem of a secret.

How to:
1) Activate the NIGHTRIDER cheat.
2) Goto the Special Stage in Corsica.
3) The special stage randomly puts you in one of two lanes. If you start on the opposite lane shown in the video, just turn around then drive up the small road on the right otherwise either drive around the course till you get to the opposite lane or just go the wrong way round the track and cut across as shown in the video.
4) As you get to the end of the road, your engine and electrics will fail. Afterwhich a UFO will come and abduct your car.
5) Once your cars back on the track, your car will be all wavey.

Notice how it adds nine minutes to the timer afterwards. ;)
It's a shame they don't really put fun little secrets in games like these anymore.....

The press lied to you about Colin Mcrae's death. After Colin Mcrae finished this rally, the US government took both Colin Mcrae and Nicky Grist away and shipped them off to the island which is also the residence of Michael Jackson and Elvis. :D

Yah :D, things like these are one reason why i'd rather play good old classic games rather than new ones. Also, what does MAGCHROME cheat do? I did not find any info about it :O. A long time ago i read from ps1 cheat book that the ufos only appear in night stages so i dont think theres 20 possible locations as the game doesnt have 20 night stages? (correct me if im wrong) anyways, gonna try to purchase this game again if i get one cheap, keep up the good vids :D

Bare in mind that the Corsica special stage and Australia stage 2 were'nt originally night stages so that may be inaccurate. There's a cheat that's been circulating cheat sites for ages called GHOSTRIDER which allegedly allows you to pass through walls which I never got to work (with the exception of the PSX Emulation Cheater)

Havn't tried it yet but my first guess is that MAGCHROME is an alternative cheat to TINFOILED.

I used the emulator EPSXE with this.

Yeah I was pretty surprised myself. As each one reveals a cheat there's either around 20 different possible locations (each one representing a cheat in the game) or there's one UFO hidden in each country (most likely) and the rest of the cheats are just hidden.

Kinda makes you wonder what on earth possessed the game developers to code this in really. I mean, what other serious rally games or racing games for that matter feature UFO abductions?! :D

As an original CMR developer, I can tell you that we put in those Easter eggs was because it was fun. No hidden agenda or concern that it didn't fit in a 'serious' game. And the reason the cheats don't work is because we renamed them for the magazine coverdisc demos so people didn't discover them accidentally (or deliberately, by reverse engineering) ahead of the official release of the game. Unfortunately, the demo cheats somehow made it onto the final PS1 discs. PC didn't have this problem.

@jamesuk9999 yah i remember there was some cheats which i never got to work either dont remember the cheats tho, you got any other classic games you could make vids of? perhaps some racing ones?

Also, do you play with playstation or emulator? If i dont find any copies of this game without scratches on the disk etc. I might have to download epsxe+ the game cos its really rare to find this game :/
