Yes, because it has the most common 4 chords ever used in so many hit pop songs etc. Look youtube for Axis of Awesome - 4 four Chord Song, and you get the idea. It's almost ridiculous.

The track doesn't determine the genre- the artist does... If Kelly Clarkson sang it, it would prob be pop. If Ne-Yo sang it, it would prob be r&b.

damn use a compressor on the drums or turn them down/ WAYY TOO LOUD. over powers the other instruments.

This is a raw beat as you can see.. no mixing at all thats why the drums are a tad loud. just an idea of the root of the beat.. :)
