When I approach an airport in VATSIM, will the controller direct me out on the approach pattern till the point I can start an ILS approach?

I flew on vatsim today(short hop from Ft. l to Orlando) It was dark during the flight, full ATC was online for my full route, got to Orlando fine and I was on the GOOFY5 star and I was on final on the ILS (it was some pretty bad IFR conditions especially at night) came in to high and had to go around! The total flight time was an hour, actually wasnt bad when I think about it because I had to spend at least 15-20min at each airport still sucks that I had to go around had to deal with me twice

I flew into Orlando once and ATC had be do a complete 180. I just did it thinking they had alot of traffic or what have you so I didnt really question it. Once the controller saw what I did he called me and said he was holding his chart upsidedown...LOL Thats the beauty of VATSIM its a awesome learning experiance for everyone.
