Ed: I love this video! I can't handle large pieces of flint anymore so try to make bird points. I really wish you would take the time to do more videos on making small points from flakes; most knappers make the big, showy stuff. I think a real arrowhead is the best example of the flint knapper's art. Perhaps you could walk us through flake selection. I bought close to $200 worth of gem quality flint at a knap-in last weeked and I bet most of it has too much curve to use. Cpl. Rey in Ohio.

@cplrey Lately I have been trying to replicate sahara desert points. I have some samples to study. Many are super thin because they are made from flakes. As it gets a little cooler this fall I will see If I can produce a useful video. Thanks for watching!

@chuckb71954 The copper wire is a substitute for a deer antler. Pressure applied to the edge of the stone chips off a flake.
