@kozzy1966 Hello, apart from water being added what are the differeneces and advantages of vapour blasting to dry blasting with glass bead.
Thanks.

Did you say 70-150 micron glass beads?

How much does this service generally cost the average garage builder?

dear friend,
I am impressed with the outcome of the process. Here in Brazil we have never seen this technology, The water is sprayed with micro glass ball right? which the water pressure?which the output pressure of the glass bead?which the grain of the glass microsphere?thanks for attention,

Is this shit expensive to get done??? I've got 1982 XJ650 that has pits all over the jug and crank.

Wayne is one of the top people in the business. Excellent knowledge of British Motorcycles and a true perfectionist. I had a Norton International engine, gearbox and primary drive casings done last year. Superb Service.
It's a labour intensive process so the price is going to be closely related to the cost per hour. Question , how is the bead debris removed from oil ways , blind holes etc ? Obviously if there is even the slightest trace remaining it would destroy a newly rebuilt motor !

@turboslag The bead it removed using a high preasure water, then the piece is dried and and blown through with high preasure air. Nozzles of various shapes and angles are used ensuring all oilways and blind holes are clear. I'm glad you understand the importance of this. You won't believe how may people try and persuade me to blast complete engines thinking they can mask them up. CRAZY I tell you this bead is so fine it will get into the motor no mater how well they think they can mask it.
