Probably the most chaotic thing I've seen on campus my three years attending the University of California Riverside. As my friends posted pictures and status updates on social networking sites like Facebook and Tumblr, I couldn't help but to bring my camera to campus to capture this moment in history. Among the crowd of protestors, onlookers, bystanders, reporters, and police officers, we see an enormous issue raised. That is the financial situation in the State of California and its advent effect on our public education system. This video is meant to provide an unbiased narrative of what was going on that day as well as raise awareness of the effects of the budget crisis in California.
I would also like to note that I took NO part in the protest. I was just documenting.

awesome video! I was working while the most extreme parts took place. I knew there were a lot of people protesting based off the pictures and news clips I saw, but I didn't realize that there were that many people until I saw your video

Thanks for posting up this video! I am the girl who spoke to the cops at the end of your video (black flannel). It took disappointment/shock and courage for me to say how I felt about the matter. Even though you cannot hear what I am saying the action speaks for itself.
